two twin sisters have celebrated their 104th birthdays – and say the secret to their long and happy lives lies in nature walks and good food.
Believed to be Britain’s oldest twins, Thelma Barratt and Elma Harris marked a special milestone at the Nursing Home.
They have expressed that they still have dreams for their lives and why they are at that age,
Born in Cheadle Heath in Stockport on 3 August 1919, Thelma and Elma attended Alexandra Park Primary School.
Work and life in the family has kept us alive and walking in nature and taking care with food is one of the reasons for a good and long life. Vegetables were every day in our house and we still eat a lot of vegetables today, say the 104-year-old sisters.
