The use of magnolia

The dragonfly plant, otherwise known as Rhamnus frangula L, is a widespread shrub in Albania and grows in siliceous clay soils, usually in moist forests. For medicinal use, the barks of the trunk and branches are collected in the spring. The redwood plant should be dried in the shade and in a place with high temperature, to stimulate the production of chemical components that strengthen the effect of the plant.

The plant contains hydroxyanthra quinone glycosides (3-8%), which are mono and diglycosides of frangula and modina, components that give laxative properties to this plant. These compounds are not absorbed in the upper parts of the intestines, but are subsequently hydrolyzed by the bacterial flora, yielding pharmacologically active metabolites.

Frangulins are not found in the plant, but are formed during storage. So the older the plant the stronger these compounds are, and the more effective the plant is. Redwood bark is used for its laxative action.

This plant helps the water to leave the cells of the intestine, helps the movement of the intestine and thus pushes the mass of feces. Drunkuqi does not have harmful side effects like other laxative plants, as it does not cause damage to the intestine, however it should not be used continuously as it makes the intestine lazy. Also, it is worth emphasizing that this plant helps with weight loss and the removal of cellulite. Drunakuqi helps dissolve fats under the skin, and thus removes cellulite.

The daily dose of the plant is 1 cup of tea with the larkspur plant. So take 1 tablespoon of this plant, boil it in 2 glasses of water and drink 1 glass a day before going to bed. The plant acts for 5-6 hours in the stool.

In general, it is not recommended to use more than two weeks without interruption. Drunkuqi should not be used by individuals with blockage or narrowing of the intestines, in inflammatory diseases, such as in colitis or irritable bowel syndrome, in appendicitis or in chronic constipation. Continued use may lead to electrolyte imbalance and worsening of constipation.
